A Brand New Nursing Story of the Information Age

Humanity’s story is changing. We are on the precipice of a conceptual revolution in the way we think about work and technology. Careful thought and consideration to how these changes will effect our roles, will teach us what we can do to prepare. This website’s purpose is to provide registered nurses with the knowledge and foresight to overcome the economic uncertainty, the transition of the nursing role, and how to build and protect our wealth.

I have spent the last four concentrated years studying everything there is to know about money. I discovered, to put eloquently, we are all screwed. By we, I mean you. That’s if you continue to move forward blindly. In exchange for this nugget of wisdom, I went so far as to quit my job and empty my retirement to burn the ships and risk it all by starting a business. Falling into that self-improvement rabbit hole, I developed the nascent courage to move forward, despite the fear. To make a long story short, I failed and lost everything I had built. My greatest fear had come true and haters whom balked at my ambition were now smirking behind my back. However, no matter how bad it got, I still didn’t become that homeless hospital patient coming into the E.R. every shift change for a place to lie down and hopefully get something to eat. Far from it. Only recently, have I finally broken through that first glass ceiling that holds 99% of us back.

The realistic expectation for failure is that you always can start over. As nurses, we are able to take advantage of that nursing school sales pitch for the indecisive, “Don’t worry, there are so many fields. Just do it and you can figure it out later.” This is… partially true. After finally arriving at the peak of my short journey, which I will go into glorious detail in later articles, I found myself only standing at the starting line of the world stage. What appeared before me, seemingly out of the ether, was the awareness that there were many peaks that lie before me. In a speech by Denzel Washington, I recall a specific quote about reaching your goals. He said, “Reach one. Teach one.” This means whenever you reach a goal and find yourself in an elevated position, you have a responsibility to bring others up with you. This site was conceived under this principle and I will bring you up with me, all the way to the top.

Behind the nursing station, I hear the typical banter about retirement, buying the first home, having children, and vacation plans for those 2-3 weeks a year. This repetitive pattern was enough to drive me into a psychological abyss few have returned from (more on this later). I have many friends and coworkers that want to know how they can earn more money, work less, and generate wealth but simply do not have time to become a professional investor. Like most “normal” people, they mimic a dead fish. Going with the flow of what they hear around them and never quite reach the fairytale state of happiness they envisioned for themselves. They are often trapped by the limitations of their inner social circles with an undeveloped mind, body, and spirit. So my resolution for this Lunar New Year as I’m writing this on 2/2/22, is to write and post an article every Monday & Thursday with the hopes of helping as many people as I can before the redistribution of wealth occurs.

Disclaimer: The content I will publish will be seemingly random, whatever catches my fancy that part of the week. Therein will lie a silver thread that will weave these disparate ideas into a meta-perception of the evolving collective consciousness. Be advised, some of the secrets I will share will bend the world as you know it. I believe it’s this type of thinking that will always keep you one step ahead and give you that unfair advantage they talk about in business. My content will be for educational and empowerment purposes only. The key here is to learn, think for yourself, and make your own decisions. I may describe practices that challenge your core beliefs and if it not for you then there are other places more suited to your mental schematic. Rest assured, my intention is always good and with that, you can place your faith in me. Given the nature and sensitivity of the information I will provide, I will opt to remain anonymous for now so as to not have to exercise my fifth amendment right when discussing new age trade secrets.
